Great points about enjoying the moments we are living right now Melinda. As we continually reflect on the past and "wish" for the future we neglect the present that we are in. The present is what brings us the most joy in life because we are in it and living it. It is where the future is created. The past is a reflection that cannot be changed. Something we learn from and hold an appreciation for the path that has brought us to the moment of now.

Hi Kristin,

I love that you've chosen not to have cell phones. Your children will really benefit from your not being distracted in that way. One of the things I did regularly with my kids when they are little was to go on "nature walks." They each brought little buckets or paper bags and collected treasures. It helped them to notice their surroundings, even if we were just walking down our street. I look forward to more of your wisdom on the Live Your Legend message board.
